Suzanna Storm is a licensed professional counselor with nearly a decade of therapy and mental health consultation experience. A native Oklahoman, she received her Masters in Community Counseling from Oklahoma State University and has gone on to treat children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of community and clinical outpatient settings.
Suzanna particularly enjoys working with survivors of abuse and trauma, and has extensive experience treating individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder. She has specialty training in several treatments specific to trauma, such as written exposure therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and EMDR. She is also a registered provider for cognitive processing therapy, one of the most effective treatments for PTSD recovery. Suzanna finds deep satisfaction in helping her clients create and reclaim a sense of control, normalcy, and identity following traumatic experiences.
Suzanna also enjoys working with women’s issues and helping female clients navigate challenges across their lifespan: from college admission to career paths, pregnancy and postpartum, self-esteem, identity exploration, and everything in between. She has a particular interest in helping women create better, more satisfying relationships by creating healthy boundaries and overcoming people-pleasing.
Therapy with Suzanna feels warm, supportive, engaging, and sprinkled with a healthy dose of humor. She strives to make appointments something her clients look forward to, even if the work can sometimes be challenging. Her belief is that therapy should be client-centered and flexible, tailored to the unique needs and experiences of each individual. She incorporates techniques from a wide variety of treatments to create a therapeutic experience that is practical, relatable, and relevant.
When not sitting in her therapist chair, Suzanna enjoys spending time with her family and figuring out new motherhood. She also enjoys exercising, gardening and is always on the hunt for the perfect iced coffee.
